LESSON SIX: Socratic Seminar and End of Unit Claim

Students will participate in a Socratic Seminar — a structured, collaborative dialogue that focuses on a common text or resource — to review key concepts from the unit and generate ideas to help them answer the essential question as a claim. Students will draft claims that include an introduction, evidence, and conclusion that will serve as the end-of-unit assessment. This lesson includes background and lesson materials to help educators guide students through the Socratic Seminar.
